Mykonos island
Mykonos is probably the most famous islands throughout Greece and it is found in the Aegean sea, and is one of the group of islands referred to as Cyclades.

Visitors from all over the entire world visit Mykonos every year to savor the superb beaches, fantastic entertainment and night life and to experience a truly unique vacation in Greece.

The streets of Mykonos are almost labyrinth-like and wind around each other. This was done purposely to make it difficult for pirates that frequently assaulted the town during the 18th and 19th centures. These great side streets are the perfect method to explore and enjoy the appeal and pleasures of the island.

The location referred to as Little Venice is among the most popular areas on the island for visitors, and here you are able to find a wonderful number of shops, art galleries and clubs. It is a part of the island that's alive during the day and night, and is a location that all visitors will go through sooner or later during their breaks on the island.

There are several interesting spots to visit and points of interest like the Archaeological Museum, the Folklore Museum and also the Maritime museum are all great places to go to and offer an excellent insight into the historical past of the island.

Also worth going to is the tiny but hugely important islet of Delos, that is situated just off the coast of Mykonos. Here you will see the spectacular ancient temples and figurines. You will find frequent boat expeditions over to Delos, and it is strongly suggested that you try to visit this phenomenal place.

Travelling to Mykonos is incredibly easy with frequent flights and ferry services to the island. Throughout the summer month you will find charter flights arriving at Mykonos from all over Europe, and the island has fantastic ferry connections with Athens along with other islands in the Cyclades.
